One Anam Ramanarayana Reddy = 100 problems for YSRCP

0

The YSRCP leadership is increasingly realizing that Anam Ramnarayana Reddy inside the party is much more problematic than Anam Ramnarayan Reddy outside the party. He is increasingly seen as someone who is alienating the party workers and promoting groupism within the party.

Firstly, he is putting the party in a spot of bother with his statements slamming his own government. He has also made comments against Minister Ravikumar Yadav and expressed his exasperation at not being made a minister once too often. As if this was not enough, he is alienating the grassroots level leadership.

In fact, before his joining of the YSRCP ahead of 2019 elections, the party had leaders like Bommireddy Raghavendra Reddy, Ramprasad Reddy, Suresh Reddy and Delhi Babu. Suresh and Delhi Babu, who strongly opposed Anam’s entry became inactive soon after he joined the party. But, Anam managed to convince them to work together during the 2019 elections.

But soon after, he began to encourage groupism in the party. Anam promoted Bhanupriya as the municipal chairperson instead of senior politician Dontu Sarada,. Though Sarada was compensated with a nominated post, the gap continued and several leaders had complained against Anam. Another senior leader Ramprasada Reddy and former MLA Saikrishna Yachendra too have lodged a complaint against Anam over the issue of co-option members in the Nellore Municipal Corporation.

Vexed with Anam, party affairs incharge Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy is believed to have stepped in to address the issue. He is said to have held a meeting with the leaders of anti-Anam factions. He is said to be trying to convince the disgruntled leaders. Anam Ramnarayana Reddy is thus proving to be a tough nut to crack for the even the biggies of the YSRCP.
