Akkineni Nagarjuna’s bilingual emotional tale, Oopiri, is the first biggie to hit the screens this Summer. The film, an adaptation of French film, The Intouchables, was directed by Vamshi Paidipalli and produced by popular production house, PVP Cinema banner.
After a huge round of aggressive promotions, the film released all over today ( March 25th). The emotional content in the film struck the right chord with the audience who gave an unanimous verdict. The commendable performances by the principal cast and the beautiful narration helped the film big-time. The film opened to packed houses in all areas and the first weekend collections are going to be huge.
In US, Oopiri is off to a flying start. The film notched up nearly $100K from its premiers and trade circles are confident that 1 Million will be a cakewalk for the film. With the weekend round the corner and no major releases in the coming days, the box office prospect of the film looks very promising.
