With his debut film failing to match the hugh expectations, Akkineni Akhil had to take a long time to finalize the director for his second outing. After much deliberation, it is Vikram Kumar, director of Manam and 24, who is handed over the responsibility of calling shots for Akkineni lad’s next. Pegged to be a love story, the untitled project will flag off once Akhil is done with his engagement which will happen on December 8th.
The latest grapevine in the industry circles is that Oscar winning composer AR Rahman has been approached to render the soundtrack for this film. It is learnt that AR Rahman is yet to give the nod,but the makers are confident of bringing the legendary musician on board. Vikram and Rahman previously worked for Suriya’s 24. Also, rumours are rife that veteran actress Tabu has been approached for an important role in the film.
Tamil girl Megha Akash is in talks for the female lead’s role. The formal launch will take place on December 12th in Hyderabad.
