Over the past few years, the overseas market turned out to be quite crucial for Tollywood films. The producers are minting huge money through the overseas business. USA, Australia, Europe and Dubai turned out to be very important. With the arrival of coronavirus, it is quite uncertain for filmmakers to release their films overseas anytime soon. Some of the filmmakers are considering pay per view release through the OTT platforms when the films are releasing in theatres across Telugu states.
Movies like Vakeel Saab, RED, Krack and Uppena are ready for release. These movies may have a simultaneous pay per view release across the overseas circles and the prices would be decided as per the location. The talks are currently on and things will be finalized soon. This would accommodate the overseas deals to an extent. Several countries of Europe and USA are hit badly by the second wave of coronavirus. The theatres across Telugu states are expected to reopen in December. Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better is the only prominent Telugu film to release in December.
