AP CM Chandrababu Naidu held adult videos on the internet partly responsible for the sexual assaults going on women and children in the state. Speaking to the media, the CM stated that he would use an iron fist to curb perverts, and prevent incidents like Dachepalli from repeating.
‘It is really aching to hear that relatives are committing sexual assaults on children below two years. Watching porn is one of the main cause for these incidents to take place. I have already directed the officials to take charge on those who are misusing the technology.
In recent times, the way the crimes are being committed are taking forms. Parallelly, we should also act accordingly. Betting mafia needs to be curbed with the aid of technology. At the same time, CCTV cameras should be installed in Educational Institutions, and ensure eve-teasing, and drugs are not to be seen anywhere’, said CBN.
It will be interesting to see whether CBN’s statements will remain as headlines for tabloids, or will they put into practice. In the age when MLAs and MPs are watching porn in State Assembly and Parliament, implementing a ban on porn is far from the truth.
