We have seen the magnitude of records created by the combination of Superstar Rajinikanth and sensational director Shankar. Imagine the euphoria at box office if the superstar teams up with SS Rajamouli for a film?
Speaking at the Pre-release event of Tamil version of ‘Baahubali 2’ in Chennai, Rajamouli said that he has the dream of directing Rajinikanth and that he will surely fulfill his wish in near future. Considering how impressed Rajini was with Rajamouli’s work on ‘Baahubali’, he may have no qualms acting under the direction of the ace Telugu film director. The project in this combination will be no inferior to Baahubali in terms of craze and scale even if it was just a commercial film with an underlying social message.
Rajamouli also divulged that his biggest dream is to bring the epic story of ‘Mahabharata’ onto big screen. ‘I will myself announce when I am ready to take up that prestigious project. For now, my complete concentration is on Baahubali 2 only,’ he added.
Carrying staggering expectations, Baahubali 2 is slated for worldwide release on April 28. On the other hand, Rajini-Shankar’s ‘2.0’ is tentatively scheduled for Diwali 2017 release.
