Superstar Rajinikanth’s recent films did not have a dream run across the Telugu states. His theatrical market too tumbled down and the actor is quite confident on getting back to the track with his next offering Darbar. This mass entertainer is directed by AR Murugadoss and is slated for Sankranthi 2020 release. With Tollywood biggies Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo announced for January 12th release, the makers of Darbar are puzzled about the film’s release.
There are strong speculations that one of the Tollywood biggies will release on January 14th. Hence, to avoid clash with Telugu films during the holiday season and to open on a decent note, Rajinikanth asked the makers to avoid clash. Rajinikanth’s Darbar will now release on January 9th, way ahead of the release of the Tollywood films. NV Prasad, Dil Raju and UV Vamshi will distribute the Telugu version.
All the buyers are informed about the new release date of the film. Darbar will get a comfortable release across the Telugu states and will not face any heat from the Tollywood movies. It can also rake decent money in the first two days before the first biggie releases. Lyca Productions are the producers and Nayanthara is the leading lady in Darbar.
