Superstar Rajinikanth is back in Chennai after wrapping up a hectic schedule of his upcoming gangster drama Kabali in Malaysia. Ranjith Pa is directing the film and Kalaipuli S Thanu is bankrolling it.
In the meantime, the pre production activities of his next film,which is the sequel to the blockbuster science fiction visual wonder Robot (Enthiran), are currently underway. Genius filmmaker Shankar is ensuring that everything is in place before the commencement of the project.
According to the latest buzz, Rajinikanth will attend a special makeup test and a trail shoot will be done for his new look in the film. It is learnt a couple of Hollywood makeup artists have already reached Chennai to work on the look. The film will go on floors early next year.
Music wizard AR Rahman will once again collaborate with Shankar and Amy Jackson will play the female lead while Srinivas Mohan will design the VFX shots. Arnold Schwarzenegger is in talks for the antagonist role in the film.
