Veteran actress Ramya Krishna played the title role in web series Queen which is based on the life story of Tamil Nadu politician Jayalalithaa. Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prasath Murugesan directed the web series which is out on December 13th. Ramya Krishna’s performance along with the way the directors handled the web series is receiving a thumping response from the audience. Ramya Krishna roars loud and she fits well in the role.
Though it goes on a slow pace, the story was well narrated. Several unknown facts about Jayalalithaa’s childhood are narrated. Queen gathers steam and what makes it perfect is the writing. When you get a perfect script and an actress like Ramya Krishna, it would be an easy walk. Some of the episodes are fictionalized but on the whole, Queen makes a decent watch for sure. Ramya Krishna steals the show undoubtedly. Queen is currently streaming on MX Player.
