Natasimha Balakrishna created sensation with his 100th film Gautami Putra Satakarni which collected one million US dollars in overseas. Word of mouth and positive reviews,right from the first show helped the film tremendously.
While Satakarni team is celebrating the film’s sensational success, the makers got huge shock when High Court found fault with the AP government for providing tax exemption. High Court which heard the PIL opposing tax exemption granted to the film by the Government, found fault with the Government.
Government after High Court’s objections promised court that they would do away with the GO 14 and pass new GO with in two days. High Court posted the case for hearing tomorrow.
It is known that Telangana and AP governments gave tax exemption to Satakarni as the film is a historical entertainer. However few groups opposed the decision, saying the film is not a historical one but is a fictional one.
