Seven ‘Sting Operators’ arrested in Hyderabad

Seven persons, including a woman, who extorted money from the owner of an ayurvedic centre after allegedly conducting a sting operation have been arrested by Uppal police in Hyderabad. They all belong to PJ News Channel, an online news portal and CVR News Channel.

According to the police, they had reportedly conducted a sting operation in the Kerala Ayush Ayurvedic Centre located in Prashant Nagar in Uppal and accused the management of indulging in cross body massage. They collected Rs.1 lakh from the owner and tried to fleece more before being caught by police.

They are: Neduri Swamy (32), an online editor, D.Prabhakar (40), a reporter, P.Jayaram (27), a sub-editor, K.Viswanath (21), a cameraman, and K.Deepthi (32), HR manager, all from PJ news channel; P.Narasimha Murthy (37), HR manager of CVR News Channel and his colleague M.Sai Kumar (27).

Swamy had extorted Rs.80,000 from the owner of Sri Mytri Agro Tech in Vanasthalipuram three months ago, according to the Uppal Inspector Y.Narasimha Reddy
