Sharwanand stepped out this year with Shatamanam Bhavati which released during Sankranthi this year. Satish Vegesna directed the movie and Anupama Parameshwaran essayed the female lead. The family entertainer raked in huge money despite stiff competition from biggies, Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni. The movie has been aired on television on March 26th and it fetched a stunning TRP.
Despite the massive pre-release event of Baahubali2, Shatamanam Bhavati clocked 15.4 TRP from its television premiere which is very impressive. The movie was telecast on Zee Telugu and this is the highest TRP for a small film in the recent times. Popular producer Dil Raju produced Shatamanam Bhavati on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner and the movie collected a theatrical share of Rs 33 crores in its final run after being made on a budget of just Rs 8 crores. Prakashraj and Jayasudha essayed other pivotal roles in the film.
