Actor-activist Shivaji is the current political sensation in Andhra Pradesh. His name has repeatedly figured in heated political debates between TDP and BJP leaders. Even CM Chandrababu Naidu quoted from his leaks on ‘Operation Garuda’ several times in the past few days. Naidu also raised ‘Garuda’ issue during his press conference with national media in Delhi yesterday.
Shivaji has previously worked in the BJP. Later, he came out of that party due to political differences. He began a fight for special category status to AP. Shivaji’s leaks became a sensation as his predictions are becoming true in the state. Modi government has begun massive raids against TDP leaders in the name of IT, CBI and ED raids across AP. BJP has got a secret deal with YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy to dismiss the Chandrababu government. As told by Shivaji, there was an attack on Opposition leader who escaped with minor knife injury as expected. Then, BJP leaders demanded President’s Rule in AP saying there is breakdown of law and order.
Naidu referred to Shivaji’s leaks and said Operation Garuda predictions were happening one by one. Naidu’s onslaught damaged BJP reputation at national level. BJP leaders are angry and they want to take immediate revenge. Several BJP leaders met Governor Narasimhan and complained against Shivaji. On his part, Shivaji said he took all legal securities before leaking Garuda details to public. He has got enough protection under the Whistle-blower Act, which aims at checking corruption and misuse of power at high places.
Shivaji has also said that he is not at all afraid of BJP leaders. He says these people leaders have become leaders without direct support of voters and they have no idea of how systems work basically.
