CPM General Secretary today accused that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a liar. Speaking at a programme in Vijayawada today, he wondered that Modi is attempting to get public sympathies in public meetings stating he was not allowed to speak in Parliament.
Stating that there would be no big lie than this one, he recalled that the winter session of Rajya Sabha failing to function till now only due to continued absence of the Prime Minister. He asked why Prime Minister his avoiding to participate in Parliament debates and explain about his demonetisation move.
Blasting the economic policies of Modi government, the Rajya Sabha member said that Modi’s government has turned the country into a junior partner of USA. Stating that Modi is succumbing to the forces of imperialism, Yechury deplored that demonetization move has been destabilizing our economy drastically.
Strongly refuting government claims of that was intended to end black money, he said instead it has been leading to mortification of scams in the country. On the other hand the miseries of the common people are countless, he added. He said that the move failed to achieve desired results of the Prime Minister.
Recalling that several e-commerce companies have been predicting this would lead to 3 per cent fall in GDP, he said the move is a severe setback to small business outlets.
