All Indian states are heading for e-governance and Telangana is one of the states moving faster than others. The Telangana government has largely used the services of start-ups to set up their e-governance apps. Here are some apps provided by the T-government that one should absolutely consider downloading immediately. With these six apps installed, one should be able to tackle just about anything in and around the state capital.
RTA m-Wallet
RTA m-Wallet is a mobile application offering a simple and efficient single-screen display for important vehicle-related documents. The mobile app that allows users to store digital copies of driving license, registration certificate and insurance, is a boon for those who worry about carrying physical copies or misplacing them. Motorists can show ‘RTA m-Wallet’ on their smart phones to police or Road Transport Authority (RTA) authorities during checking. The documents once downloaded on the application will be saved permanently.
My GHMC
‘My GHMC App,’ a mobile app launched by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which provides five important citizen services. The integrated services to be provided through the mobile app include payment of property tax, trade license fee, view status of Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) applications, downloading of birth and death certificates for records digitally signed on GHMC server and submitting of civic related grievances like manholes, potholes, open dumping points, streetlights, etc.
Hawk Eye app
The user friendly mobile app was developed by IT Cell Hyderabad police with an aim to empower people to grow into ‘citizen police’. Hawk Eye has several features like Woman’s safety while on travel, SOS button for accessing help in Emergencies, Citizen Police to report, Traffic violations and Access to all Contact Numbers of Telangana State Police at one place. The mobile application of Hyderabad city police ‘Hawk Eye’ has been awarded Gold medal in the National Awards on e-Governance 2016-17 under the category of Innovative Use of Mobile Technology,
Aarogyasri app
The health care app by Aarogyasri Health Care Trust is for Employee, Journalist and Aarogyasri Health Schemes of Telangana State. The users can check their Health Card Status, get nearby empaneled hospitals on map and Search hospitals based on specialty and scheme. In addition, the users can check Treatment Status and Report a Problem/Grievance.
TSSPDCL Bill Payment
The app helps to pay electricity bill using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking options. This app will also send a receipt on registered email and on phone via SMS about the transaction. One can view your outstanding bill details by – entering your Unique Service Number
Hyderabad Traffic Live
The aim of Hyderabad Traffic Police is commuters to have traffic police information on their hands. The mobile application commuters or users can easily get the information about local traffic police station address with concern officer contact numbers to know traffic rules and regulations, road safety tips, emergency contact information, traffic violation fines, vehicle towed status, auto fare. Furthermore, mobile users can see live traffic view.
The integration of RTA m wallet, Hyderabad Traffic live and Hawk eye lab is under progress and the users will be hit with an update.
