Sarvananda Sonowal has taken the oath as the CM. It was like the galaxy of BJP stalwarts.Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present to feel the joy of victory in the North East. BJP president Amit Shah, union ministers Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu, almost all the chief ministers of BJP and NDA ruled states were present.
AP CM Chandababi Naidu was one among the distinguished guests on the stage.He has praised the people of Assam and wished Sonowal all the success.
BJP has planned a grand gala oath taking ceremony in which over one lakh leaders and workers of BJP and allies were present.
After the debacle in Delhi and Bihar, Modi and Amit Shah jodi has played a safe but aggressive game in Assam. They have made the AGP and BPF as the allies. Announcing Sonowal as the CM was a trump card for the Saffron party. He is a very well known person with a good image in Assam.
Sealing the border with Bangladesh within two years will be the biggest task for Sonowal. A strong demand for a separate Bodoland will be an embarrassment for him. There are two different opinions in favor and against of Bodoland in Kokrajhar area. This sensitive issue will be a tough task for him.
