Mahesh babu Srimanthudu Story Controversy

The Nampally Court has issued summons to actor Mahesh Babu, filmmaker Koratala Siva and producer Naveen Yerneni in connection with alleged plagiarism of Srimanthudu story line.

Going into the details, Sharat Chandra ,a writer in one of the leading Telugu weekly magazines moved the Civil Court alleging that the story of Mahesh Babu’s 2015 blockbuster Srimanthudu was lifted blatantly from his novel ‘ Chacchenta Prema’ , which was published in the year 2012.

He also filed a case against Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan for bagging the Hindi remake rights of Srimanthudu. Sharat Chandra requested the court to stay the Hindi remake.

Cases under IPC 120B and section 63 of Copy Right act have been registered against Mahesh Babu, Siva and Naveen Yerneni. We have to wait and see how Srimanthudu team reacts on this issue.

Srimanthudu emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Tollywood. The story is about a good Samaritan who adopts his native village to help its impoverished citizens.
