Shah Rukh Khan is making his comeback to mainstream cinema after a long gap with Pathaan. The film directed by Siddharth Anand is also one of the most expensive films on the Indian screen. The first single Besharam Rang was out recently and the sizzling presence of Deepika Padukone in a bunch of bikinis made the song an instant hit. Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra called to ban Pathaan for using the saffron costumes and objectionable scenes in the released song. This triggered a controversy and the activists of Veer Shivaji Group staged a massive protest in Indore today. The protests set the effigies of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone on fire and demanded a ban on the film.
The activists said that the Hindu communities were insulted through the Besharam Rang song. Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra called up for a rectification of the song else the film would face troubles in the state. Pathaan is one of the most awaited films of 2023 and it will release on January 25th, 2023. John Abraham essays the role of the lead antagonist in this high-voltage action thriller that is produced by Yash Raj Films.
