May 7th will be remembered for a long time. In 105 years history of Indian film industry, Baahubali 2 became the first film to collect 1000 Crores. By today morning, the film’s collections touched the magical mark and scripted a new chapter in Indian film trade. What is more impressive is that the film has achieved this magnificent feat in just 10 days. This a record of sorts and is unlikely to be surpassed in the next few years.
After opening its account with 200 Crores worldwide Gross on April 28th, the visual wonder, which is the second installment of 2015 smash hit Baahubali, muscled its way at the box office and surpassed various milestones in the first week. Baahubali 2 became the highest grossing Indian film last week after it bettered the box office run of Aamir Khan’s PK.
Continuing its dream run at the box office, Baahubali 2 has now etched the record books by emerging as the first Indian film to enter the never-before heard 1000 Crore club.
In overseas, the storm is unstoppable as the overall collections zoomed pass the 200 Crore mark. In US alone, Baahubali 2 clocked 100 Crores and created history by becoming the first Indian film to touch the mark.
In what can be termed as a mind-numbing box office run for an Indian film in US, Telugu language visual extravaganza Baahubali 2 has nabbed $ 15 Million( including all languages) by Saturday evening.
After a stellar first weekend in US with a $ 10 Million haul, the epic drama continued to dominate the box office on weekdays with a half million on Monday and a more than one million on Tuesday. In less than a week after its release, the film emerged as the highest grossing Indian film in US after it surpassed Dangal’s $ 12.3 M and completed its first week with a staggering $ 13.08 M.
Baahubali 2 opened very strongly in the second week with more than $ 700 K on Friday. On Saturday, the film collected $ 1.05 M ( counting) and surpassed the unprecedented $ 15M mark effortlessly. In a few more hours, the film will create history at the US box office as the collections will touch the 100 Crore mark, a feat which seems to be unattainable by any other Indian film in the near future.
Filmmaker Kabir Khan, who has released the teaser of his upcoming film “Tubelight”, is delighted with the phenomenon that “Baahubali” has emerged to be. He says the film must not be looked at as a regional project.
“I really feel good whenever any film does well. We should not see ‘Baahubali’ as a regional film. That’s the triumph of ‘Baahubali’… The team has successfully combined south and north market, and for that, hats off to S.S. Rajamouli. I think he made a brilliant effort,” Kabir said here on Thursday.
“Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, released last week, has taken the box office by a storm. It is doing well pan-India, especially since it has come out in four languages.
Meanwhile, Kabir launched the teaser of “Tubelight” on Thursday, and gave a sneak peek into it with to lead actor Salman Khan’s fans.
He said Salman plays a “different and challenging kind of role” in the movie, the story of which is based on the Hollywood film “Little Boy”.
“Salman has just pushed the boundaries in terms of craft and acting in this film,” Kabir said.
The actor’s brother Sohail is also seen with Salman in posters, and the director reveals he is doing an important role in the film.
Talking about the chemistry of both the brothers, Kabir said: “They both are brothers and obviously they love each other a lot, so it was easy for me. As a director, if I have to establish that there is love between two brothers, then I get to see that very easily between Sohail and Salman because of their body language and their reactions with each other. I really enjoyed working with both of them.”
“Tubelight” will release worldwide on June 23.
Baahubali has collected a distributor share of 7.82 Cr on its 7th day taking its 1st week total to 117.52 Cr. The film has now crossed Baahubali part 1 distributor share of 111cr in Telugu states combined and has created a new record. it is unstoppable and set to hold very strong in the 2nd weekend.

Since its release last Friday, Telugu language epic war drama, Baahubali 2, which narrates the story of two warring brothers belonging to a fictional kingdom called Mahismati, has shattered numerous box office records all over India. After taking the box office by storm in the first weekend, the magnum opus is continuing its strong run in all regions.
As per the latest trade reports, Baahubali 2 has now emerged as the biggest hit in the history of Indian film industry by surpassing the lifetime global collections of Aamir Khan’s PK. The total gross of Baahubali 2 stands at 792 Crores by today afternoon. PK collected 780 Crores and Baahubali 1 collected close to 650 Crores.
Baahubali 2 is now eyeing the never before heard 1000 Crore mark by the end of this week. The film has already emerged as the top grossing Indian film in overseas surpassing Bollywood’s Dangal. The collections storm is likely to continue till next week as per the trade estimates.
Baahubali: The Conclusion has been declared as India’s biggest even before the film completed its first week run. The movie has been running with packed houses even on weekdays and despite of getting a massive occupancy across the country. The makers have been quite worried about piracy right from the day of the film’s release and a team from the movie unit has been working to block the pirated links online. However thousands of pirated CDs have been found in Vizag, Vijayawada and the cops located that they have been exported from Chennai.
However the biggest surprise is here. Even after thousands of pirated CDs stepping out into the market, the collections of Baahubali: The Conclusion have been rock solid all over. Piracy too seems to have made no impact on the movie as the audience are in mood to watch the film on big screen. Baahubali: The Conclusion trashed all the existing records of Indian cinema. SS Rajamouli directed the movie and Prabhas, Anushka, Rana Daggubati are the lead actors.
‘Baahubali 2’, the film that catapulted Indian cinema to the league of Hollywood, has now been insured for a whopping Rs 200 crore. Future Generali India Insurance (FGII) CEO Mr.Rao confirmed issuing the cover for Baahubali 2.
The insurance cover safeguards the makers against all kinds of losses including providing personal insurance for actors. Rao added that the interest for film insurance has been growing in India since corporate sector replaced traditional financiers for film production.
Coming to the box office performance, Baahubali 2 is wreaking havoc across the world. The SS Rajamouli directorial’s attack on box office is not limited to India but it is giving stiff competition to some of the Hollywood biggies in overseas. By the end of its sixth day, Baahubali 2 has reportedly collected a worldwide gross of around Rs 750 crore, thus emerging the biggest worldwide blockbuster from India beating Aamir Khan’s PK.
Baahubali 2 is expected to surpass the Rs 1000 crore gross by the end of its second weekend. Sky is the limit for the film’s full run figure as no biggie is releasing in the month of May across any film industry in India.
Baahubali has collected a distributor share of 9.28 Cr share on its 6th day which takes its 6 days total to 109.70 Cr. The film resists to slowdown as it dropped just less than 20 percent from its previous day. It is going to beat Baahubali-1 share today (111 Cr) in Telugu states which is a feat that we are out of words to describe.

Baahubali: The Conclusion seems to be unstoppable all over and after a stupendous weekend, the movie has been raking huge figures across the globe even during the weekdays. This SS Rajamouli’s directorial is the biggest hit in the history of Indian cinema. Indian celebrities took their social networking pages to praise the film along with the team of Baahubali: The Conclusion. The latest update is that veteran actor Mohan Babu happened to watch the film and he left the team in heaps of praises.
Mohan Babu took twitter to praise the cast, crew individually after which he made fun of Prabhas. Mohan Babu used the word ‘Bava’ to call Prabhas reminding him about his marriage. The veteran actor wished that Prabhas will get married this year making his mother happy. The actor even praised Prabhas’s performance in the film. Mohan Babu praised Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni on the success of Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Continuing its record breaking spree at the worldwide box office, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 has surpassed yet another major milestone. The film, according to the latest trade reports, has equalled the lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s Dangal in US in just five days. Dangal with $ 12.36 Million is the highest grossing Indian film in US and Baahubali 2 has notched up $ 12.28 Million by the end of 5 days.
After taking a staggering start last Friday with $ 4587K ( including premiers), the epic drama stunned the trade circles with a single day highest grossing Indian film with $ 3497K on Saturday and a massive $ 2334K on Sunday. Dominating the box office on weekdays too, Baahubali 2 garnered $ 591K and $ 1067K on Monday and Tuesday taking the overall collections to $ 12.28 Million.
This is a sensational haul for a regional film at the overseas box office and trade circles are predicting that the film will collect over $ 16 million in its full run.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is mesmerized with Baahubali. Naidu who toils day and night for the welfare and development of the State managed to allocate time to watch S S Rajamouli’s Magnum opus Baahubali-The Conclusion. Amazed by the performances of the artists and crew, the TDP supremo said, “I will request the Central government to nominate it for Oscars.”
He held that the film is a great accomplishment for the Telugu people and reflects their talent and capabilities. The Chief Minister had a conversation with the director Rajamouli, Actor Rana and appreciated their work. He couldn’t get in touch with the hero of the movie Prabhas as he was unavailable. He held that the movie has taken Indian cinema to a next level.
Naidu also communed that, soon director Rajamouli and the film crew will be honored on behalf of the government of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati.
Baahubali2 has crossed 100Cr share in Telugu states on its 5th day which is humongous. The film has collected 11.35 Cr share on its 5th day which is very good hold from Monday which is a less than 25 percent drop. It is continuing its phenomenal run in Nizam as it has collected more than 4 Cr share for the 5th consecutive day.

The sequel to the two part crowd pleasing Baahubali franchise, which released to a thumping response last Friday, is storming the worldwide box office with its phenomenal run. Having earned more than 600 Crores gross in the first four days, the SS Rajamouli war drama has toppled all previous records and set a very high bar in Indian film trade.
As per the trade reports, Baahubali 2 is now the highest grossing Indian film at the domestic box office level. The film has surpassed the lifetime collections of Baahubali 1, Dangal and PK in less than a week and emerged as the top grosser in India. Trade reports suggest that the film netted more than 425 Crores in India after five days and topped the list of all time highest grossing film in India. Now, the film is cruising towards the unprecedented 1000 Crore mark and trade circles are opine that it will touch the mark by the end of this week.

When the whole world is left with the hangover of Baahubali: The Conclusion, the makers are promoting the film all over. Taking no break SS Rajamouli and his team flew to London for the special British Film Institute screening that will take place tonight. Rajamouli along with Anushka interacted with the prestigious BBC NEWS channel and Rajamouli has been asked if he is ready to direct a Hollywood film is asked.
Without wasting much time, the ace director said “I would love to direct Indian stories and reveal them to the world. I will always pickup an Indian story which will reveal if it has to be told for Hollywood audience. If the world loves, I am ready to direct it in Hollywood. It is all the time that says. As of now I have no plans for the third installment of Baahubali. I thank each and everyone among the billions of fans who made this success possible”.

Prabhas is currently in the US, but before leaving, he celebrated the success of S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus with his close ones.
The second part in the “Baahubali” franchise — a fantasy drama about a fictional kingdom — created a trailblazing record of Rs 121 crore on its opening day.

SS Rajamouli and his team who promoted the film extensively before the release have been relaxed and they flew abroad to party revealed several web portals and news channels.
Rajamouli along with his team is currently in London not for partying, but to attend the special premiere of Baahubali: The Conclusion at the prestigious British Film Institute screening that will take place today. A reliable source from the movie unit revealed that the movie unit will be promoting the film and they are not in a mood to holiday now. Rajamouli along with his family will fly to Bhutan for a month after wrapping up the promotional work for Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Baahubali: The Conclusion is one of the most talked film all over. The movie has been raking huge figures all over and it has been widely acclaimed by the critics. SS Rajamouli directed the film which has been made on a massive budget. The makers who concentrated on the key markets where Indian films collected huge money are now quite focused on China and Japan. Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan’s films have been minting decent figures across China and Japan. PK and Kabali raked good figures on board in the recent years.
Now Baahubali: The Conclusion will now be dubbed into Japanese and Chinese instead of an English version releasing with subtitles. An official release date of the film will be out once the dubbing work will be wrapped up. The makers are even considering some crisp runtime for the film. Arka Media Works produced Baahubali: The Conclusion which is made on a huge budget. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka played the lead roles.
