Super talented director meets Nani

Natural Star Nani scored seven super hits in a row and he is quite careful and at the same time, he is wrapping up films in quick succession. He is said to have lined up six projects which are currently in pre-production. He is wrapping up two films currently and is listening to scripts. There are talks that he signed couple of films for prestigious production houses Arka Media Works and Mythri Movie Makers. The latest news we hear is that super talented young director Vikram Kumar is keen on teaming up with Nani.

Vikram Kumar has been in Hyderabad from the past few months shooting for his next film with Akhil which has been titled Hello. Vikram met Nani recently to discuss about the possibilities of teaming up and Nani too gave his nod. Vikram discussed about couple of stories and he promised that he would meet the actor with a draft after which Nani could take a call about the project. Nani has been picking up interesting films currently and his next film MCA directed by Venu Sriram will hit the screens on December 21st this year. This will be his third release of the year after Nenu Local and Ninnu Kori.

Natural Star Nani is always in hunt for interesting roles which suits him the best. The actor’s recent track record turned out to be an inspiration for many young actors after he scored seven blockbusters in a row. The actor has been dreaming of working with his mentor and legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam from the past couple of years. He has been approached to lend his voice for OK Bangaram and he was quite excited about it. He wished of working with Mani Ratnam soon and the legendary filmmaker too approached Nani with an interesting role.

Things did not work out because of Nani’s prior commitments and he had to walk out of Mani Ratnam’s next project which is a multi-starrer and will start rolling soon. Mani Ratnam recently announced his next which will feature Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Simbu and Fahad Fassil in the lead roles. The regular shoot is expected to start from November this year. Nani is busy wrapping up MCA and is shooting for Krishnarjuna Yuddham which will release in December and February respectively. Nani will have to wait for some more time to make his dream of working with Mani Ratnam coming true.

Of late, Bollywood actors are eyeing to remake hit Tollywood films. Recently, NTR’s Temper has been confirmed to be made in Hindi very soon. Yesterday, there were reports that Bollywood star hero Ranveer Singh is interested to act in the Hindi version of Arjun Reddy. Now, reports suggest that yet another Hindi actor is in talks to remake a recent hit Telugu film.

According to the news from reliable sources, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has been approached to reprise Nani’s role in the Hindi version of Ninnu Kori. Reportedly, popular Hindi filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has watched Ninnu Kori and was impressed very much that he is planning to remake the film in Hindi in collaboration with Kona Film Corporation and DVV Entertainment. More details about the Hindi remake will be revealed soon.

Ninnu Kori is a coming of age love story which struck the right chord with younger audience. The film has Nivedha Thomas and Adhi Pinisetty in important roles.

The pre-production work of the film is currently on and several Tollywood big actors are considered for the lead roles. Official: Nani’s MCA Release Date

Natural Star Nani is shooting for his next film Middle Class Abbayi (MCA) in the direction of Venu Sriram. Touted to be a romantic entertainer, Fidaa sensation Sai Pallavi is romancing the actor in the film. Half of the film’s shoot has been wrapped and the makers announced that the post-production work along with the dubbing work kick-started recently. MCA will complete all the formalities and will hit the screens on December 21st during Christmas.

Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music and Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations is bankrolling the project. The duo were supposed to come together last year, but unfortunately the project was dropped in the initial stages.

Sources say that Nani has okayed the script narrated by Mani Ratnam and the film is likely to go on floors once he wraps up his current commitments. An official confirmation in this regard is yet to be out.

Rukshar Mir, who made her debut in Tollywood with Akatayi, has joined the sets recently and started shooting for her role.

Nani is playing dual roles in this film. Hip hop Tamizha is scoring the tunes. The film is slated for early next year release.

Nani is without a doubt the most successful and consistent hero of this generation. His consistency at box office can be largely attributed to his script selection and his trait of believing in the script rather than running after successful directors and big production houses.

However, buoyed by the success of their first collaboration “Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gatha”, Nani committed to work with director Hanu Raghavapudi for another film, which is expected to go on floors in the beginning of 2018. The ‘word’ given by the actor has now placed him in huge confusion.

During the promotional interviews of ‘Ninnu Kori’, an excited Nani revealed that he would play an Army man in Hanu’s film and that he was quite kicked about the project. But, all this happened before the release of Hanu’s latest film, ‘LIE’.

Now, after witnessing the debacle of ‘LIE’, any hero will think twice to work with Hanu. Will Nani stick to his word and give a lifeline to the director or ask Hanu to do another film in the meanwhile and come back to him after scoring a hit, so that he can evade the risk factor?

If Nani chooses the second option, can Hanu find another hero and producer who can dare to invest their time and money in his immediate next film? We need to wait for some more time to get answers to all these questions. Irrespective of Nani’s decision, Hanu will have to work hard to bounce back after ‘LIE’.

Nani to play army officer in next film

Actor Nani, who has had a phenomenal year so far with two back-to-back blockbusters “Nenu Local” and “Ninnu Kori”, will be seen playing an army officer in his next yet-untitled Telugu project with director Hanu Raghavapudi.

“Nani plays an army guy. That’s all I can say at the moment as it’s too early to even talk about the film. We will predominantly shoot in Ladakh and we plan to go on the floors (with the movie) later this year,” Raghavapudi told IANS.

The actor and director had previously worked together in last year’s Telugu romantic drama “Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gadha”.

The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised.

On the career front, Nani is currently shooting for Telugu comedy “MCA”.

Actress Bhumika is playing a crucial role which carries the film’s narrative forward. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer.
