Prabhas is working with KGF sensation Prashanth Neel and the film titled Salaar is in shooting mode. There are speculations that this high-voltage action entertainer will have its release in two parts. The makers are yet to make an official announcement and Prashanth Neel is busy completing the shoot of both the installments at the same time. Prashanth Neel announced that the film will release in September 2023. If the film has two installments, there is a lot of confusion about the release date of the second installment.

Prabhas is done with the shoot of Adipurush and the final release date is yet to be locked. Though the makers say that the film releases in June, there are reports that Adipurush may release in 2024. He will also complete the shoot of Project K and the makers are keen to lock Sankranthi or summer 2024 release for Project. Prabhas will also complete the shoot of Maruthi’s film and the shoot too completes next year. With lot of films gearing up for release, Prabhas is yet to clear about the release of the sequel of Salaar. The final call on the release date of Salaar 2 is expected once the dates of Prabhas’ films. Prashanth Neel is left confused for now. A better clarity is expected next year.

It is unusual to see a mainstream director or a film star publicly admit to having an addiction problem. ‘KGF’ director Prashanth Neel, who has been promoting his magnum opus ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, has made a daring revelation of his drinking habit.

During his interaction with a media portal, Prashanth Neel asked, “I reveal this with one condition, please promise me that you are not going to chop away this part of my interview,” on a witty note.

“Yes, I often consume alcohol to pen down my stories. If I get the same high even when I am intoxicated, that is when I conclude that this particular scene has what it takes”, Prashanth Neel reveals.

Explaining what he feels when scripting down his ideas, Prashanth Neel said, “It is never about the story, but how it is presented, is the most important task”.

Well, talking about his drinking habit openly is considered a daring attempt for a director who has made his mark in the pan-India circuit.

On the work front, Prashanth Neel’s movie with Prabhas titled ‘Salaar’ is on the cards, after which the director has a movie in which he will direct sensational Jr NTR.

Is NTR and Prashanth Neel project shelved?

Kannada director Prashanth Neel shot fame with KGF which was a sensational hit across the country. Several Tollywood producers met Prashanth Neel and the young director too met several top actors of Telugu cinema. Mythri Movie Makers locked Prashanth Neel for a film and he was paid a hefty advance for the same. There are strong speculations that Prashanth Neel was in talks with NTR for this project.

In a surprise, Prashanth Neel narrated a script to Prabhas and locked him for his next. What’s more interesting is that the project starts rolling from January. After this announcement was out, there are speculations that NTR’s project with Prashanth Neel is shelved. But the update we hear says that the project is very much on. Prashanth Neel wanted to complete one more project as NTR needs to complete RRR and Trivikram’s project. Hence, he shifted his focus to Prabhas’ Salaar.

Soon after the completion of Salaar, Prashanth Neel will work on the script of NTR’s film. Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll this prestigious project.
