Tollywood Trade: 20% dent for Non-Theatrical Rights

0

Tollywood has been in the best phase in the last couple of years. Actors, directors and producers earned huge money after the non-theatrical rights fetched record prices for projects featuring stars and non-stars too. Some of the small budget films like RX 100 struck gold through the rights. The Hindi dubbing and satellite deals along with the digital rights made the producers rake huge profits.

But things changed badly in the past few months. The quotes for Hindi rights are quite low for films that feature young actors and those that have fresh faces on board. The digital rights and satellite deals too are not satisfactory revealed several trade analysts. Right from the films featuring stars to others, all the deals witnessed huge cuts. There is almost 20% dent for the non-theatrical revenues when compared to last year.
