That Victory Venkatesh would be starring in the Telugu remake of the critically acclaimed sports drama Saala Khadoos is a known news. Venky will be reprising Madhavan’s role from the original and Sudha K Prasad , who directed the Hindi – Tamil bilingual, will be calling shots for the Telugu version as well.
According to the fresh update from close industry sources, the Telugu version has been titled ‘Guru’. It is learnt that the makers have locked Guru as the title because it aptly suits Venky’s character. He plays a hard-line boxing coach in the film and Rithika Singh who played the woman boxer in the original has been roped in for the Telugu version too. However, we have to wait for an official announcement regarding the title and the remaining cast for this project.
The pre production activities are in full swing and the formal launch is expected to take place in Chennai shortly. PVP Cinema banner will pool resources for this sports drama.
