Opposition leader in AP assembly and YSRCP supremo YS Jaganmohan Reddy staged a dharna in front of office of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) in Vijayawada protesting acquisition of land from the farmer against their will.

All the lands acquired forcibly by the government would be returned once the YSRC come to power, Jagan declared. Jagan said that no force on earth could stop him from becoming chief minister, if god was willing. Chandrababu Naidu’s government last week initiated the process of land acquition in the uniquely fertile villages on the banks of River Krishna for the purpose of building a world class capital Amaravati.

“The government has acquired whopping 33,000 acres in the name of construction of a capital. And another 30,000 acres of government land also available for the purpose. Still the TDP is going for grab 3,000 acres of land that farmers are not willing to surrender,” Jagan said.

Jagan, who has been leading series of dharnas against TDP government, today accused that the the only objective of chief minister Naidu was to grab the fertile lands with coercion to transfer them to do real estate business. Dismissing the argument of Naidu that there were no multi-crop lands in the areas, the extent of wetlands was just 2,000 acres , he said chief minister was propagating blatant lies.” It is unfortunate the government is misleading the courts also. Then where do people get justice from,” he said.

He brought to the notice of the public there the submission of the government before the green tribunal that there was no significant fertile and multi-crop land in the capital region. The opposition leader accused Chandrababu of being a great land grabber.

He warned Naidu to fight with BJP and bring it to its knees on the issue of special status or people would do that you.
