Ippatilo Ramudila Seetala Yevaruntarandi Babu is the title of the film and ninety percent of the shoot is done. The twenty something debut actor Bala Prashant who is playing the lead role ironically justifying the title fell to death in the wee hours this morning. Since two years the actor developed an illicit relationship with a married woman in Kukutpally and the doors were sealed on the fateful morning when he wanted to slide down from the drainage pipe, he slipped and died. The husband was out of station and he wanted his brother-in-law (wife’s brother) to spend the night at his apartment. When the brother banged the door, the couple (Bala Prashant and the house wife) did not know what to do. He hid beneath the cot and she was rushed to the hospital as she slashed her wrist to divert attention. With the door locked from outside Bala Prashant did not know how to get out, he even texted the woman and she told him to wait till she got back. But Bala Prashant had no patience and he opted the easy way out from behind and slipped to death.
In the Telugu film industry illicit relationships is not a new phenomenon, but it is alarming to note that a young actor who is trying to get a foot hold in the movie world dug his grave even before his first film got wrapped. The title conveys that there is no ideal being like Rama and Seeta in the contemporary world and he went to an extra mile to live the role. Bala Prashant R.I.P.
