CM Jaganmohan Reddy is saying that he is waging a battle against corruption. In the beginning, the YCP leaders took his words lightly thinking their leader was just drawing political attention to the scams during the previous TDP government. But repeated warnings against corruption by Jagan have raised concerns among the ruling party MLAs and leaders now.
Through different channels, these leaders have indicated to Jagan that the anti-corruption policy will harm the party interests as a whole. For nearly 10 years, YCP leaders and Jagan followers have lost all sources of income. During YSR regime, they enjoyed power like nobody else and amassed illegal wealth. Once again, these leaders want those golden days to return. But their expectations are totally gone wrong. Moreover, all the major posts like TTD Chairman are going to Jagan’s inner circle. Another issue is that anti-corruption drive will embarrass officials and those leaders like Nellore MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy who switched loyalties from TDP to YCP before elections.
