Victory Venkatesh, who plays a disgruntled former boxer turned coach in Guru, is all smiles during his media interaction as a part of the film’s promotions. He is very confident that the film will fetch a similar result as it did in the Tamil and Hindi versions. The star actor says he has reinvented himself with Guru and came out of the routine stuff which he had been doing over the years.
When director Sudha Kongara thought of working on the project, Venkatesh was her first option but unfortunately he couldn’t commence shoot due to illness. The impressive success of the Tamil and Hindi versions has heartened Venkatesh to work on the film’s Telugu version. A confident Venky says that the Telugu version will surely cut across all sections of audience and will work well at the box office.
The censor formalities have been wrapped up with a clean U and the film is slated for March 31st release. Rithika Singh plays a crucial role in this sports drama.
