During the celebrations of silver jubillee function, Movie artist association (MAA) made scathing comments on websites. MAA claimed that the family members of the artistes are being suffered because of the gossips and negative articles written in websites.
MAA has complained on a website to police regarding the morphed nude images,sleazy comments made in the website. MAA has gone to the extent of requesting the government to ban websites as done by China government. MAA also commented that those artistes who did not take membership in MAA will not get any kind of support from MAA.
Though there is always a facility in the democracy to complain on any medium or website or channel if they make any personal and derogatory comments on individuals. But asking for China like supervision on websites is ridiculous. Because, if China model has to be applied it should not be applied just to the website but should be applied to entire country. Anyway some websites also need to exercise restraint when making any sort of personal and derogatory comments.
