Former MLC and Rajahmundry YSRCP co-ordinator Kandula Durgesh quits YSRCP to join Janasena. He is expecting Janasena MLA ticket from Rajahmundry rural constituency.

Kandula Durgesh is from East Godavari district and is very close to former MP Undavall Arun Kumar. He was in Congress party earlier and he was given an opportunity to be MLC by former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy when he was in Congress. He was in Congress until 2016. He resigned to INC in 2016 and he was East Godavari DCC president when he resigned to the party. He joined YSRCP later and was given Rajahmundry co-ordinator post in YSRCP.

But after recent statement of Jagan on kapu reservations, he seems to have taken decision to quit the party. He also belongs to Kapu community. He is all set to join Janasena and as per reports, he already had discussions with Pawan kalyan regarding his expectations. He has worked in Congress for so long and he has good cadre. So his joining may help Janasena too in EG district.
