The Central Bureau of Investigation has issued a notice to senior TDP leader Sujana Chowdary in a 2017 bank fraud case. Chowdary was asked to appear before the CBI Bangalore branch officials on Friday. The charges against the former union minister were that he caused huge losses to the bank in the Best and Crompton Company transactions.

The CBI officials have accused Chowdary of causing a loss of Rs 71 crore to the Andhra Bank. The notices came amid the allegations by the TDP leaders that the BJP is misusing the Central institutions to harass its political rivals across the country.

The TDP leaders have already accused the BJP and the YCP of misusing the Election Commission of India as well to gain an upper hand over the rival parties. They even said that AP Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam was carrying out the Delhi agenda in the state.
