Analysis: Jagan’s controversial and personal comments on Pawan

1

It is known news that Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, in his Anantapur meeting, made critical comments agains YSRCP chief Jagan for not attending assembly. He questioned ‘masculinity’ of Jagan for running away from Assembly. Jagan’s retaliated to Pawan’s comments during his Praja Sankalpa yatra and severely attacked Pawan with controversial and personal comments.

Jagan’s Comments:

Addressing a public meeting at Rajam as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra , Jagan questioned Pawan, “Is marrying four times a sign of masculinity? Pawan Kalyan changes his wives every four years like cars. Is this the masculinity he is talking about? He is mocking the sacred marriage system. Is this what masculinity means for Pawan?”

He also told, Pawan Kalyan supported Chandra Babu for last 4 years and so he is also responsible for all the wrongdoings of the government. He told, Pawan and CBN are doing a drama now and acting as rivals. He added, Chandra Babu is director and script writer for all this drama while Pawan kalyan is just an actor.

Why Jagan always says 4 marriages while Pawan married only thrice?

On 12th March, 2018 Jagan tweeted, “This day, 8 years ago, YSRCP was formed “. Actually it was just 7 years since party formation, but Jagan just added 1 more year for his party’s age. (Click here for : YS Jagan needs better person(s) to handle his twitter). Now also Jagan commented that Pawan married 4 times while he actually married only thrice. It seems Jagan has this problem of adding up numbers always. Some people in political circles pass satirical remarks on this habit and say, during YSR regime, Jagan always used to ask for commissions from the contractors and deal quid pro quo transactions by increasing the numbers and it seems he is yet to get rid of that habit.

Of course this is a satire but Jagan has to explain why he always says four marriages while Pawan married only thrice. Otherwise people may think he is HABITUAL LIAR and can’t speak facts even in small matters like this

Yet Jagan failed to answer Pawan’s questions?

Despite attacking Pawan Kalyan ferociously, Jagan failed to answer basic questions Pawan raised. Pawan’s question was simple – Why did Jagan chose not to attend assembly and how will he resolve people issues if he is not attending assembly. Instead of answering the question straightly, Jagan preferred to make personal and controversial comments which once again proved hollowness of his strategists.

Despite strong cadre, YSRCP losing because of lack of strategy

YSRCP party is always known for lack of strategy. The party has strong cadre at ground level as Congress wiped out in AP after bifurcation of the state. But still YSRCP failing to win at electoral battles mainly because of wrong strategies. During Nandyal by-polls also Jagan and Roja made severe comments on opponents and paid hefty price for that. Then also, fans at Nandyal cheered for Jagan’s harsh comments but those comments didn’t fetch votes for Fan symbol.

Vijay Sai Reddy welcomed Pawan comments on TDP after March’14th

On March 14th Pawan Kalyan, in his meeting, fired salvos on TDP, Chandra Babu and Lokesh. After that meeting Pawan has been attacking TDP strongly. Vijay Sai Reddy, YSCRP MP, also welcomed Pawan Kalyan’s comments on TDP after that meeting. Yet, Jagan now accuses Pawan Kalyan colluding with Chandra Babu.

Overall:

Jagan attacking personal life of Pawan Kalyan is definitely wrong strategy as it only gives signals to people that Jagan doesn’t have anything else to attack on Pawan. Jagan should instead focus on “convincing” people on why to vote for him rather than making these kind of controversial comments. Repeating these controversial comments may repeat Nandyal kind of results. The sooner Jagan understands this, the better for his party.
