“Atharintiki Daaredi” controversy before “Nannaku Prematho”

Just when you thought NTR Jr.’s film “Nannaku Prematho” is going to have the biggest opening, here comes the salvo from the rival camp – Mega family. Pawan Kalyan has just cried foul that the producer of his blockbuster movie “Atharintiki Daaredi” owes him two crore rupees for his remuneration. What is surprising is the timing of the announcement, hours before the world waiting to see BVSN Prasad produced “NP” – which is also NTR’s silver jubilee movie. This kind of sensationalisation before a blockbuster release is in bad taste and hitting below the belt.

Even for “Gopala Gopala”, Pawan Kalyan egged on his fans last year Sankranti to pressurise producer D.Suresh Babu to pay Power Star’s dues. But “Atharintiki Daredi” came much before “Gopala Gopala”. What was he doing so long if he had his dues uncleared when BVSN Prasad’s previous films released like say, “Dochay” which got released in 2015, two years after “Atharintiki Daaredi”? Could this move be more an impulsive move by Pawan Kalyan to spoil the party for the unprecedented hype and buzz generated for NTR’s film releasing on 13th Jan? Or is it a deliberate strategy from the PK and Mega family camp to once again set the twitter feeds on fire with distracting talk about PK’s dues when actually the focus is more on well-publicised film or its grand opening tomorrow? In the past, PK fans are known to disrupt audio functions of rival stars like those of Prabhas and even Varun Tej. If the producer hasn’t paid Pawan Kalyan for over two years, what stopped him from filing a complaint with MAA for so long after 2013? Some fans also feel that by washing the dirty linen in public, Pawan Kalyan is setting a bad precedent to once again encourage his hard-core fans to disrupt any positive response that may come post-release of “NP”. Watch this space for more stories of how fans of rival heroes clash with each other. Meanwhile, we hope this fight between the producer of NTR’s latest film gets solved amicably and doesn’t spill over to upset the Sankranti film festivities.
