TDP senior leader and former minister Chintakalayala Ayyanna Pathrudu said that he has a life threat from his rivals. He said he had requested the police to give him a gun license as he was threatening his life. Pathrudu said that the police have offered gunmen for him.

He said that he had rejected the offer as the gun men would give the information to the police or his rivals about his whereabouts. These gun men leak the information first, he said. I don’t believe the gunmen as they become a major problem, he said.

Pathrudu said that the ruling party leaders were targeting the opposition leaders, particularly the TDP leaders. In the next three months, the TDP would form the government and settle every account. We have the names of the YSR Congress leaders and the officials, he said.

He further said that the officials, particularly the police, were also targeting the TDP leaders in the state. It was not proper on the part of the ruling party to target the opposition party and try to finish it politically. The TDP is in the hearts of the people, he said and added that it would not be possible for Jagan Mohan Reddy to destroy the TDP.

He alleged that the YSR Congress leaders have looted the government lands on the beach road in Visakhapatnam. He said that people of Visakhapatnam were rejecting the YSR Congress leaders for their extortion.

He also said that chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is doing criminal politics. He did not spare his uncle Vivekananda Reddy or his sister Sharmila and mother Vijayamma, the TDP leader said. He further said that Sharmila also has a threat to her life from the YSR Congress leaders. He wanted security to be increased for Sharmila due to the threat.

The former minister said that his son had applied for the Anakapalli MP seat from the TDP. The party leadership is looking into it, he said. He expressed confidence that his son would get the party ticket and would emerge victorious in the Anakapalli Parliament constituency.
