AP CM Chandrababu Naidu took strong objection to PM Modi’s threat that he can bring down the Mamata Banerjee government any time now. How can Modi say that 40 Trinamool MLAs are in touch with him? This is nothing but horse-trading on the part of Modi against whom the Election Commission of India should take immediate action, Naidu demanded.
Modi’s remarks stirred a political storm in the entire country now. Chandrababu said that first Modi had crippled all the central and national institutions like the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Reserve Bank of India, etc. Now, Modi is attacking and hitting at the very roots of democracy in the country. Naidu asked the ECI to take suo motu cognizance of what he described as the shameful remarks of Modi.
