Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan is currently doing “Praja Porata Yatra” in North Andhra region and so far is getting tremendous response from people. As he completely focused on politics nowadays, people started taking him seriously. Moreover, after Pawan Kalyan open war with TDP since 14th March, political equations in the state have changed so rapidly. there has been discussion in political circles as well as by the analysts about how much what Bank does janasena really have? How many seats will janasena really get?

In fact, Pawan Kalyan was asked the same question by reporter in an interview recently. Of course every party says they are going to get maximum seats and maximum votes in the upcoming elections. Pawan Kalyan is no exception for this. But he answered this question in his own style.

Pawan Kalyan remarked that, in 2009 itself, PRP had around 24% for banks in Andhra Pradesh region ( actually it got 17% vote bank in the combined state but more votes came from AP region than region Telangana region). He told, janasena was able to influence around 18% vote bank in 2014. He added, even though votes difference between TDP and ysrcp in 2014 is just 5 lakh votes at the end, the situation was quite different before elections. Pawan added, there was an intelligence report that went to Sonia Gandhi before elections regarding the possible outcome of elections. As per that intelligence report, TDP would get only 39 – 56 seats in 2014 elections. Out of these seats too, only in 20 seats TDP was having more than 18 thousand majority and in the rest of the seats there will be 3- 4 thousand majority only. Moreover, as per the same report YSRCP was about to get 127 seats. It is only after janasena joined TDP, situations changed. Janasena filled that 18% gap TDP has and It finally helped TDP to get one percent more votes than YSRCP. Pawan Kalyan concluded saying, Janasena now has even more vote bank than what it had in 2014 and Janasena is starting with 31% vote bank now.

  1. Janasena will get at least 15% to 20% in 2019. If he emerge as a strong leader post 2019, he can increase his vote share beyond that. His caste population is 27%, if backs JSP, like it happen for JDS with vokaligas backing, JSP will future would be bright. With increasing of social media influence on the voters, JSP can reach wider section of people.

  2. PK party has no cadre. He has no leadership structure. I am assuming that he will join either YCP or BJP before the elections start as I do not see him putting any efforts to do this, which means either he is too lazy, to ignorant, too stupid, or he is planning to join some other party. I think he is all these. If he contests separately, then It will be a big blow to YCP as both YCP and JSP have only one point agenda – oppose CBN. Nothing else. They both do not have the guts to oppose Modi. All BJP opposition votes will be to CBN, which are considerably more. All CBN opposition votes will be split between PK and YCP so CBN will get more than 140 seats.
