The YCP government is not talking about the aspirations of the people for having a Capital City with resources similar to Hyderabad and Chennai. From day one of his rule, CM Jaganmohan Reddy is just focusing on only one aspect which is to defame Chandrababu Naidu and Amaravati Capital simultaneously. Within three days of his swearing-in, CM got the Rs. 9-cr worth ‘Praja Vedika’ government building demolished. That was just the beginning phase of the bigger plan to cripple Amaravati indeed. Then, the government started using the Krishna river floods to defame Capital City as flood-prone. Why did Chandrababu Naidu select a low-lying, riverside region for AP Capital?
The next phase of the YCP attack was on the social aspects of the local people. The Ministers themselves started playing caste card to divide Capital City people. They accused Naidu of choosing Amaravati only to benefit his own caste. After some time, Jagan Reddy Team questioned the need for spending thousands of crores on Capital. Later, they raised the issue of very poor financial situation of AP to meet the cost of global standard buildings for Secretariat, Assembly, etc.
The latest phase is whether the YCP honours India Political Map or will it give a silent burial to Amaravati by ignoring constructions on some pretext.
