Former BJP president and union transport minister Nitin Gadkari wants to personally lay the foundation stone for the four laning of Yadagiri Gutta and Warangal highway and inaugurate a bridge across Godavari in forest area. But, he visit to state is not being cleared by the TRS government on the pretext that it can’t provide security to the union minister when he goes to inaugurate the bridge across Godavari in Telangana. Gadkari visit is hanging in balance as the state wrote a letter about the security risk in the forest area which is haven of Maoists.

But, BJP sees something different in the TRS refusal to clear the Gadkari’s visit. Gadkari’s visit is expected to enthuse BJP workers in the state as the projects are being taken up with central assistance. This would become a talking point for state BJP which is struggling hard to become a force in the new state. KCR’s is promoting himself as the savior of the state hiding central assistance aspect. According to BJP, it is centre’s money that is flowing everywhere in the state. BJP expects Gadkari make public how the centre has been helping to the state.

According to BJP leaders, TRS want’s to hide the aspect of centre’s help and wants to convey that it was Telangana’s money that is going into the development and KCR is struggling to mobilize money from the state coffers.

Recently Centre announced Rs 1905 crore to four laning of the Yadagiri Gutta and Warangal road. BJP senior leader Perala Sekhar Rao accused the State government of stalling the visit of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was to lay foundation for four-lane road from Yadadri to Warangal and inaugurate bridge across river Godavari for political reasons. He also found fault with the State government’s writing a letter to the Centre that the Godavari bridge was in deep forests and it cannot provide security to the visiting dignitary. “I f you can’t provide security to a central minister, what does it meant? Has the State government failed to maintain law and order,” Sekhar Rao said.
