Jagan govt sacks volunteers for asking salary hike

The Jagan Mohan Reddy government had started acting against its own soldiers, the volunteers, who had been asking for a salary hike. The volunteers in Dr B R Ambedkar Konaseema district have started the agitation seeking hike in the salary.

Volunteers from Amalapuram Municipality, Reddy Satish Kumar, Yanamadala Umamaheswara Rao and A Babajan have started the strike asking for more salary. They said that they have been playing a key role in the government activities and taking the government services to the doorsteps of the people.

These volunteers have also said that they have played an important role during the Covid 19 and the salary that is paid to them is insufficient. They served notices to the senior officials and started strike for more salary.

However, the municipal officials have placed these three volunteers under suspension and issued orders directing the ward secretaries to find alternative steps. The officials wanted the ward secretaries to recruit new volunteers in the place of those who were suspended.

The volunteers have been the soldiers of Jagan Mohan Reddy who had been using them to take the government services to the doorsteps of the people. They have been paying the pension in the first hour of every month.

Jagan Mohan Reddy government is also using them to identify their own voters and convince people to support the ruling party. Surveys are also being conducted by the volunteers who have access to the basic information of the people in their area.

A volunteer has been appointed for every 50 families and the volunteer knows every detail of the people there. Thus, the volunteers have collected and submitted key data about the people to have a clear knowledge of what they are thinking about, even politically.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is banking more on these volunteers to win the election once again and it is quite interesting that his own volunteers are now turning against him. It is to be seen how the volunteers would react in the days to come. It is also quite interesting to see whether these volunteers would help the government in terms of votes or not in the coming election.
