In a development that has sparked fresh political chatter in Telangana, former BRS MLC and current Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha’s son Aditya made a surprise appearance at a protest in support of BC reservations. While Kavitha herself is currently suspended from the BRS, her public activities under the Jagruthi banner have remained strong and now, it seems, a new generation from the KCR family might be stepping into the political arena.
The protest was part of the state-wide BC Bandh, called by various BC organizations demanding 42% reservations for backward classes. Kavitha extended her full support to the cause and joined the protest at Khairatabad junction, participating in a rasta roko alongside her followers.
The unexpected presence of her elder son, Aditya, who sat beside his mother on the road, chanting slogans in support of BC rights has turned the heads. For the first time he has taken part in a political demonstration, triggering speculation that his political debut might be underway.
Kavitha Clears the Path for the Next Generation?
Political circles are abuzz with talk that Kavitha might be paving the way for her son’s entry into active politics, much like how YSRTP chief Y. S. Sharmila is believed to be preparing her own son YS Raja Reddy for a political role in Andhra Pradesh.
Aditya’s active participation during the campaign, giving observers a strong reason to believe this was more than just a family appearance. With cameras flashing and slogans echoing, the young man’s involvement has opened the door to serious questions about succession politics within the KCR family.
Kavitha Slams Congress and BJP Over BC Issues
While the spotlight remained on her son’s participation, Kavitha made it clear that her fight for BC reservations is far from over. Speaking to the media, she criticized the Congress for issuing “bogus” GOs and accused the BJP of political theatrics, saying they are showing support for the bandh only to gain mileage.
“Those who have failed to pass the BC Bill are now pretending to stand with the BCs. It’s like murderers offering condolences,” Kavitha remarked sharply. She insisted that the BC community deserves its rightful share and that their agitation should become a model for the rest of the country.
For now, Aditya’s appearance has added a fresh twist to Telangana politics. All eyes will be on how this potential new chapter unfolds in the months to come.
