With the ongoing strike across Tamil Nadu, the release dates of several films have been affected and an update is expected after the issues get resolved. Tamil Nadu Cinema Exhibitors Association presented their demands before the state’s Chief Minister and several industry bigwigs are in talks to find a solution soon. With the strike going on, there have been wide speculations that Rajinikanth’s Kaala release has been pushed and the film will not release as per the announced date.
Lyca Productions who is distributing the film worldwide revealed that they have not issued any update on the release date of the film. “@LycaProductions has not conveyed anything to anyone regarding #Kaala release date. We are not responsible for any statements arising on release date speculations” read their statement. PA Ranjith is the director of this gangster drama and Wunderbar Films bankrolled the movie. An update is expected soon.
