Talented director Krish and Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut teamed up for Manikarnika which is based on the life story of warrior queen Jhansi Laxmibhai. Krish walked out of the project and the real reasons were not disclosed after which Kangana took the responsibility to direct the project. The movie’s shoot has been wrapped up in October but the post-production work of Manikarnika is going on snail pace.
With Kangana inexperienced in direction and with huge VFX work to be done, the release of Manikarnika is doubtful for Republic Day 2019. A close source clarified that there is lot of work to be done and the makers are left worried about the happenings. The film’s budget got heaped up and Manikarnika’s release has been pushed twice already. We have to wait to see if Kangana and her team makes it on time. Zee Studios bankrolled Manikarnika.
