YSR Congress accused that TDP ministers were distorting the points raised by party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in his open letter to the Chief Minister yesterday, unable to defend the government.
Jagan in his three-page letter asked chief minister Naidu not to extend Amaravati invitation to him as he doesn’t want associate with a ceremony which reeks of scams ,illegality, scant respect for farmers’s livelihood and courts.

‘Our party president has categorically mentioned that more land has been gathered than what is needed and has been acquired through unethical methods.Foundation stone laying for a state capital is indeed an important event in the history of the State, and I cannot be part of it when the capital is being built on the plight of the farmers was what he has said in the letter but TDP ministers have been distorting it and passing uncharitable remarks which are objectionable,’ party spokesperson K Parthasarathi said asking the TDP ministers to react on this issue specifically.

“When the Prime Minister himself has withdrawn the Ordinance Bill after facing huge public outcry, Chief Minister has threatened to invoke the Ordinance to acquire land. The extent of land acquired is many times higher than the experts’ committee report,” he said terming the whole process as illegal.

‘Giving land to Singapore companies and putting the commercial agenda ahead of the development agenda shows the nature of governance of Chandrababu Naidu who has given a false affidavit to the Green Tribunal stating that the land acquired was barren while in reality it was fertile land..
None of the reactions from the minister, including the one by finance minister Yanamala replied to the points raised by Jagan, he added.

Instead of criticizing the leader of opposition for the open letter, the state should go into the reasons highlighted in the letter and try to address them,’ he said.
