Modi Cabinet reshuffle: No new entrant from AP and No representation from TS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his third cabinet expansion inducted nine new faces considering with a focus on poll-bound states of Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan. Putting all the speculations to rest, there is no Union Minister representing Telangana and no new entrant from Andhra Pradesh. Six incumbent ministers have resigned and here is the list of nine leaders inducted of which three are former bureaucrats, one is an ex-diplomat –

  • Ashwini Kumar Choubey (Lok Sabha MP from Bihar)
  • Shiv Pratap Shukla (Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh)
  • Virendra Kumar (Lok Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh)
  • Anant Kumar Hegde (Lok Sabha MP from Karnataka)
  • Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (Lok Sabha MP from Rajasthan)
  • Raj Kumar Singh(Lok Sabha MP from, Bihar)
  • Ex-Mumbai Police chief Satya Pal Singh (Lok Sabha MP Uttar Pradesh)
  • Former IAS officer Alphons Kannanthanam of Kerala cadre
  • Former IFS officer Hardeep Singh Puri

The portfolio allocation of all ministers will be known after the new ministers are sworn in on Sunday
