Nandi Awards have been considered as the most prestigious gesture for film celebrities across the Telugu audience. The announcement arrived year after year however with the sudden political changes and the state bifurcation, the Tollywood audience had to wait for the announcement of Nandi Awards. However after a long wait, AP Government announced the winners for the years 2012 and 2013. Here comes the surprise as the announcement made no impact.
Media which used to hype such award events collecting the interviews too seemed to be not bothered as they belong to the past. Tollywood audience completely ignored them and Nandi Awards have not been discussed across. Telangana media did not cover the Nandi Awards announcement as they completely belonged to Andhra Pradesh. Also all the leading channels like MAA, Gemini and Zee have been felicitating the actors every year in their own style with award events because of which Nandi Awards lost charm. Along with these Filmfare and SIIMA have been making huge noise.
