Nani’s brand keeps building in overseas

Natural star Nani became a household name across the Telugu states after he delivered back to back promising films in recent years. While his domestic market potential has increased by leaps and bounds, Nani created a brand for himself in the overseas trade circuit.

In overseas, Nani is easily one of the most reliable actors of Tollywood. His films are finding huge patronage from overseas audience and his stardom is on par with the current generation superstars. With his films like Eega, Bhale Bhale Magadivoi, Nenu Local, MCA and Ninnu Kori breaking into the prestigious million dollar club, Nani emerged as a crowd puller of sorts.

Nani gained such a strong foothold in overseas that even his association with a small and experimental film like AWE has resulted in massive footfalls right from the premiers day.

AWE is produced by Nani and has him playing a fictional character of Fish with a voice over. Nani’s charisma in overseas got extended with AWE as the film touched the half a million dollar mark by the end of its first weekend which is termed as a sensational feat by trade pundits.

Also, in terms of overall gross earned by Tollywood heroes, Nani is comfortably placed in the 5th place just after Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, NTR and Pawan Kalyan. The cumulative gross of all Nani’s films is close to $ 8 M with an approximate average of $ 1M for each film.

With each film, Nani’s brand in overseas keeps improving and he continues to be a bankable asset for trade circles there.

Up next, Nani is awaiting the release of Krishnarjuna Yuddham which is slated for Summer release.
