OOPIRI USA COLLECTIONS SHARE

Akkineni Nagarjuna, who delivered a blockbuster earlier this year with Soggade Chinni Nayana,has scored one more memorable success with Oopiri. This film Oopiri,an official adaptation of French film ‘The Intouchables’, released on March 24th 2016, had a terrific box office performance in USA. Amassing $1.567 Million,apparently OOPIRI is the biggest grosser in USA in Nagarjuna’s career. Nagarjuna’s previous best Manam had collected $1.538 Million Gross. With back to back hits Manam, Soggade Chinni Nayana and Oopiri,  Nagarjuna is back into top TFI brands in USA market.

Since this film OOPIRI is distributed by the producers on their own, there won’t be any profit loss calculation but Nett. Share only we could present.

As per our estimates , in USA, Oopiri has collected INR 10 Crore 18 Lakhs gross which results to INR 5 Crore 38 Lakhs share. After deducting  expenses, USA Nett Share for OOPIRI is 4.75 crores.

To provide best movie watching experience for Telugu audience, Oopiri producers had screened the movie in Best theater chains  AMC, REGAL wherever possible. These two chains, being premium chains, return lower share to exhibitors. Had the producers of OOPIRI  tried only to make money, by releasing in other chains , they would have earned INR 65 lakhs additional share . Oopiri producers must be appreciated for providing best quality theaters to the audience.
