The ruling TDP government is feeling the heat of the Call Money Scandal, that it expected to stay for some more time like a similar one took place in Kerala, in which several big names were involved and rocked political parties in that state. Meanwhile, a Hyderabad based NGO is mulling to knock the doors of the state High Court, seeking for a court monitored probe, or to hand over the investigation to the CBI.

Vijayawada: The sleazy side to the Call Money Scandal seems to rock the ruling party and make a dent to its pro women image. The major embarrassment caused to the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s government is all set to stay for some more time, adding to the government that has been struggling to keep its act together on multiple fronts.

If the goings on are of any indication, the Vijayawada police say that they can not rule out the role of any anyone associated with a political party. “We are opening the dirty bags to probe the sleazy side of the Call Money Scandal,” said a police official.

According to sources, the police are getting anonymous calls from the victims who don’t want to reveal their identity. The victims are giving clues to the police on how they were taken for a raid and trapped in the Call Money Scandal. While some victims have come forward directly and provided information to the police, others refusing to disclose their identifies, but wish to provide the much needed clues to the police to nail those played active role in the scandal, the sources said.

So far the police have unearthed thee gunny bags full of promissory notes giving the magnitude of the crime, and, “this kind of thing would not be possible, other than those well organised gangs, having strong backing,” said an official involved in the raids conducted leading to the confiscation of the notes.

As of now, we are focusing to identify victims from the promissory notes recovered and investigate into the modus operandi of those involved in the crime. Sources said that so far four to five victims in the scandal have tipped off to the police that they were blackmailed and trapped by the accused to give into their demands. And, the victims were reportedly told to the police that they were given sedatives, sexually abused by the accused, and videos made while they were unconscious state were then used to blackmail them to rope into the flesh trade. However, the police are yet to confirm the veracity of these claims, and “we are looking for six to seven more persons allegedly involved in the crime,” said a source in the Vijayawada Police. The police have so far neither ruled out nor confirmed the alleged role of TDP MLAs Bode Prasad and Buddha Venkanna with the accused. However, the duo have denied any links with those associated with the crime.
