Cult classic Mayabazar, starring NTR, SVR, ANR and Savitri, is hailed as one of the evergreen films in the history of Telugu cinema. In this blockbuster film, the popular song Vivaha Bhojanambhu, in which a host of traditional delicacies magically leap into SV Ranga Rao’s mouth, was a special attraction in those days and audience of this generation equally embrace it when played on TV channels.
Now, this iconic scene is being recreated in the upcoming biopic of Savitri, titled as Mahanati. As per the latest reports, Mahanati will feature this popular song for a brief time and Mohan Babu will be seen reprising the role of the SV Ranga Rao.
Yesterday, the film’s unit shot this sequence in a specially erected set in Hyderabad. Mohan Babu, Keerthy Suresh and few others were among those who are going to be seen in this song. We have to wait and see what impact will this recreation have on the current generation of audience.
