Arjun Reddy is one film that created ripples across Telugu cinema. The film has been named as a cult classic and the film’s lead actor Vijay Devarakonda has been widely lauded for his destructive performance as Arjun Reddy. Sandeep Vanga made his directorial debut with this film which is now being made in Hindi. After a lot of confusion, Sandeep Vanga himself will be directing the movie.
The biggest surprise is that the makers bought the remake rights of Arjun Reddy for a whopping price of Rs 7 crores which is huge. Shahid Kapoor will play the lead role while Sandeep Vanga himself will direct this classic in Hindi. Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde will bankroll the film however they refused to speak about the remake quote. A trade analyst revealed that the market price of the remake rights for a Telugu film is Rs 2-3 crores however Arjun Reddy broke the barriers.
Sandeep Vanga is busy making changes for the script to suit their nativity and the female lead is yet to be locked. The regular shoot of the film will commence during the second half of this year.
