A case against Sadavarti Satram lands squashed in High court. The petition filed by Brahman Samakya leader Dranamraju Ravikumar on basis of newspaper reports. High court told petitioner not to file complaints with mere newspaper reports and asked him to produce some concrete facts.

Sadavarti Satram lands came into discussion when Sakshi TV aired series of programs accusing TDP leaders for grabbing lands for cheap price of about Rs.22 Lakhs. Sakshi TV had given immense coverage to this issue.

YSR congress party sent fact finding committee to Chennai to look into the matter. The committee headed by Dharmana Prasada Rao submitted a report to the party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In the report it accused TDP government for allocating worth of Rs.1000 Crores of lands for Rs.22.44 crores to its leaders at cheaper prices. YSRCP accused government for auctioning the each acre at meagre price Rs.27 lakhs per acre against of Rs. 13 crores of market value for each acre.

Sadavarti satram is located in old Mahabalipuram under the limits of Talamburu village limits in Tamil Nadu. These lands spread in 86 acres near to the Chenani IT corridor. The lands are allocated by TDP leaders in open auction.

Sakshi should have helped petitioner by way of providing some evidences instead of airing hours of news programs on this issue. With High Court rejection of petition, the issue is silenced.
